Towards a global cooperation: T&S seminar welcomes two rectors The Rector of the Catholic University of Central Africa (UCAC), Thomas Bienvenu Tchoungui, paid an official visit to the theological transdisciplinary seminar on Trust, taught by the Trust & Society – The Global Network on Trust team under the direction of Jean Ehret at UCAC. He was accompanied by the Rector of the Catholic University of Lublin, Mirosław Kalinowski, together with his delegation.

News from Trust and Society – The Global Network on Trust Over the last year, Trust and Society – The Global Network on Trust has been running its inaugural T&S Lab on Trust & Church. This experience brought together a cross-disciplinary selection of academics along with practitioners from different sectors to work together on issues related to trust and the Catholic Church. This lab has piloted a unique, structured collaboration process where lab members have worked together over the course of the year as well as in smaller Impact Groups to develop targeted projects on specific areas related to the lab's theme.

Trust & Society is Partnering with the FINT Impact Hub: Bridging Trust Research and Practice

Trust & Society – The Global Network on Trust is partnering with the First International Network on Trust’s (FINT) new Impact Hub to sponsor an event on bridging trust research and practice. This event will take place at this year’s FINT Conference in Genoa, Italy on June 21. Led by Craig Crossley (University of Central Florida), Simon Schafheitle (University of Twente), and Matthew Pawlak (Luxembourg School of Religion & Society), this event will bring together leading voices from academia and industry to discuss best practices in research partnerships with practitioners and translating research insights into practice.
Dr. Matthew Pawlak Wins Award for Sarcasm in Paul’s Letters

Matthew Pawlak, our Academic Network Leader has just won the Beare Award from the Canadian Society of Biblical Studies (CSBS) for his book Sarcasm in Paul’s Letters (Cambridge University Press, 2023). Named for renowned Canadian biblical scholar Francis W. Beare, the Beare Award recognizes one outstanding book per year in the areas of Christian Origins, Post-Biblical Judaism, and/or Graeco-Roman Religions.

The University of Bonn (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn) and the Luxembourg School of Religion & Society (LSRS) have signed a cooperation agreement that establishes the LSRS as an affiliate institute of the University of Bonn. A ceremony followed by a reception took place on September 25, 2023 in the ballroom of the University of Bonn to mark the implementation of this collaboration agreement, which represents a very important milestone for the LSRS since its founding in 2015...
