Director of the LSRS, Jean Ehret, Appointed Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Theology in Trier

Professor Jean Ehret, Director of the LSRS, has been appointed Honorary Professor of Dogmatics and the History of Dogma within the Faculty of Theology in Trier. With this distinction, the Faculty recognizes his scholarly commitment and his contribution to Catholic theology.

The inaugural lecture will take place on Monday, 18 May 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Faculty’s main hall (Jesuitenstraße 13, Trier). Professor Ehret will deliver his lecture jointly with Rabbi Privatdozent Dr Jehoschua Ahrens, who has been appointed Honorary Professor for the Abrahamic religions.

The two professors will address the theme “Christology as a Challenge in Jewish–Christian Dialogue,” each from his respective disciplinary and confessional perspective.

The ceremony will be followed by a reception in the foyer of the main hall, to which all guests are cordially invited.
