Giovanna Gnerre Landini, PhD in International Order and Human Rights, is an expert in International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law. Her research focuses on the protection of vulnerable groups — particularly children, migrants, and indigenous peoples — as well as on environmental sustainability and development cooperation, with special attention to the impact of new technologies on human rights.

She conducts teaching, research, and consultancy activities for Italian and international universities and institutions, and coordinates training programs, projects, and academic initiatives.

She is as well a member of numerous scientific and organizing committees for academic and dissemination events, including: 

• Steering and Scientific Committee of the Uni.lu Diplomacy Lab, University of Luxembourg (since 2023)
• 2024 Symposium on Cybersecurity and Data Protection in Humanitarian Action (Luxembourg, 2024)
• Conference “Prometheus’ Challenge. The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Geopolitics” (Luxembourg, 14 December 2023);
• UNETCHAC International Autumn School on “Judicial and Social Aspects of Violence Against Children, Particularly Girls, in Armed Conflict” (online, October–November 2023)
• Conference “Children in Armed Conflict: How Can They Be Protected in a Multilevel International Framework?” (Luxembourg, 21–22 November 2022).

She regularly participates as a speaker and expert in conferences, seminars, workshops, and training courses in Italy and abroad.
